TANK REMOVAL

The general processes of removing a underground storage tank are as follows:

•   Removal of liquid waste from within the underground storage tank and lines.
•   Expose the top of underground storage tank.
•   Test surrounding soil for contamination.
•   Bleeding of fuel within supply and return lines back to the underground storage tank.
•   Breaking and removal of underground storage tank anchors.
•   Removal of underground storage tank and preparation for offsite disposal.
•   Offsite disposal of underground storage tank.
•   Once the site is free from contamination, a backfill and compaction is undertaken.
